1 · The money is one board

Of $191,307 reported across the census, the top board accounts for 65.9%, the top three for 80.8%, and the top ten for 87.6%. Remove the single largest and the remaining 313 boards have reported $65,150 between them — an average of $208 each, and a median of $19.

258 boards — 82.2% of everything measurable — have never reported reaching $100. This is not a market with a long tail. It is one business and several hundred demonstrations of it.

2 · How fast the copying happened

3 · Survival, two weeks in

417 boards answered on the last sweep. 13 did not, and 20 answered with an error, timed out twice, or sent visitors to a different domain. That is a 92.7% survival rate on a wave whose median board is 7 days old — an attrition figure that will only look worse from here.

A board dying is not the same as a board failing quietly. 6 of the dead ones had reported taking money before they went.

A board can run more than one. Around a third of the census matched no rule wording at all and is filed under the default single-highest-bid reading at low confidence — that is a guess, and it is marked as one everywhere it appears.

6 · Original, and not

Originality here is measured, not judged: for each board, how far its own copy sits from the nearest other board in the census, by overlap of distinctive words. The boards that read least like anything else on file:

And the pairs that read most like each other:
